Chanting, Meditation and Prayer

Prayer

Prayer involves asking for something.
Maybe money, health, a husband, a baby,..
I take no notice whatsoever of begging requests.

Meditation

What are the effects of meditating, i.e. keeping your mind blank?

  1. You destroy conscious brain cells, through inactivity without My presence.
  2. You destroy sub-conscious brain cells, through inactivity without My presence.
  3. You lose contact with reality.

Some people want to meditate for religious purposes.
This is not necessary.

Chanting

Here is a quotation from one famous 'Maharaji' worshiped by millions across the world:
'all day long was 'thul-thul, nan-nan,' repeating these words to himself.
Days went by like this and somebody finally said: 'Maharajji, what are you saying?'
And it turned out..all it meant was 'too big, too big, too little, too little'.

What are the effects of chanting?
It is the same as for meditation, and also, in the same way that typing at a computer causes repetitive strain injury,
hearing the same sound over and over again means that your front brain is not just inactive, but it is being hacked to pieces
in the same way that you might cut down a forest (of brain cells).

About religious chanting, how would you like it if your wife started to say your name over and over again?
You would quickly get rid of her.
